The 5906 and 659 not only are great guns to shoot, they're also great TV guns. I see them used in shows ranging from the X-Files to 24 to The Mentalist. It's funny to see them in continuity errors on The Mentalist, where they pop up in scenes where they shouldn't be. Many of these shows just assume that viewers don't know anything about guns, so when they show up in scenes where they shouldn't be, and vice versa, it's funny. Also, it's amusing to see them pop up in subsequent shows being used by bad guys. The bottom line is that they're highly visible and they look cool -- so that's why shows use them.

The 5906s were used by the gang in Resevoir Dogs.

I have a few examples of the 5906, 6906, 457, and 4516...

Great pistols.

Yowch!

I got bit hard on the palm once by my 5906 when racking it with the safety down in the safe position. (It extends down below the slide.) My first gun though, so I won't get rid of it.

I'm looking at a 5906 in excellent condition and just wanted some opinions.
Seems like a nice gun, not scratched up, clean and the grips look good.
Comes with a leather holster, 8 mags, 150 rounds of ammo and the box for $450
Deal or No Deal?
That is lot of goodies for $450. I would take it if I needed another handgun.
