S&W 629-2 Mountain Gun -- need info & dating

I recently purchased a like-new S&W 629-2 .44Mag Mountain Gun. It does not have "Mountain Gun" stamped on it, but it does have the tapered barrel with the round butt. The serial number is BDW 0xxx. The stainless steel has a matte finish to it. Can anyone give me any information about and/or the date of manufacture of this revolver?

Looks like your Smith & Wesson 629-2 was made
between April and May of 1989.

Looks like you have the "Mountain Revolver", the predessor to the Mountain gun.
