S&W 629 Classic...grip question

Just got me a new S&W 629 Classic with the Power port great gun!! Was wondering if there is a good grip out there that will stop recoil or allow a better grip on the gun so the recoil isn't felt as much, I can shoot it well now but would like the most control I can get, I really don't care if the grip is ugly either just as long as it serves its purpose Thanks

Pachmyr decelerators . . . . . black rubber, not pretty, but they do reduce recoil - tamed a 329pd, the 629's lighter cousin; wood grips that came with it were punishing

My 29 Classic came with Gonko targets and certainly looked good. The 25-7 I bought came gripped with a Hogue rubber monogrip. I liked the end result recoil-wise so much I bought some for several of my other kickin' Smiths.

They certainly won't win a beauty contest, but they do allow me to focus on the job at hand. Besides, they fit my hands to a tee.

I've read about people buying Hogue's directly from S&W designed for their M-500 X-frames claiming wonderful things, at least taming the felt recoil.

I wonder if the orange or yellow would clash with my Elmer Fudd red & black flannel shirts?
