I found a S&W 908 on clearance for $339.00 NIB.
From what I can tell that is a pretty good price.
Can the ambi safety be added to it? I am a lefty.
Should I buy it or hold out for the 3913? What
do you think? Opinions?

Not that it matters.....but doesn't the 908 have a plastic guide rod. I just traded a 3914 for somthing else. But it and the 3913 are ultra reliable. The 908's are "basic" models with laser etching (unless it's one of the 1st ones) which I hate. You might pay $25 more for a 3913 but it's worth it.

I have a 908, it's an excellent little pistol, great for concealed carry, the differences are mostly cosmetic, but if you really need a ambi safety, the 3913 would be a better deal.

The 908 is very similar the the 3913...but Id rather have the 39.
The 908 has plastic parts where I dont like plastic parts.....sights, rod etc.
Save for a 3913.....you wont be sorry...........Shoot well.

You also might even pay less and get a 3913. There are some police surplus 3913s floating around that you may be able to get for about $325. They are not going to NIB but I think I would prefer a decent used 3913 over a NIB 908.

Thanks for the input. I think I will wait on a 3913 unless they mark the 908
down a little more.
