S&W Autoloaders - Which Is Best ?

I've got dozens of S&W autos. I think the best they ever built from any era is the 952, hands down.

Here are some of the others from my collection that I feel are some of S&W's best efforts over the years. Sadly, none of them are built anymore...

39, 39-2, 41, 52-2, 952, 845, and 945

When it only takes 10 seconds to do, yes. The easier the breakdown procedure, the more thoroughly you'll clean it. A clean gun is a happy gun.
LOL. If you're detail cleaning your gun after every range trip, you've gone way past the "a clean gun is a happy gun" stage and well into the "obsessive compulsive disorder" stage. Or perhaps you've just way too much time on your hands.

Take that to the power of 10 (10th power), and you've got some major gun cleaning ! ;)

Detail stripping the slide adds maybe 5 minutes to my cleaning time.

3rd Gen for me. The 4506 and the 5906 are my favorites.

My job gives me the M&P. I can live with it -- I think the M&P is a lot better than any Glock or the SA XD/XDm.
