Does anyone know if a 3913 mag fits in the CS9, i understand they would hang out but will they work in the CS9. If so does someone make a mag sleeve?

I just purchase a blued CS9 and 5 3913 mags (waiting for them to come in) for my 3913LS and was also going to swap out one of the flat mag plates from the 3913 mags to one of the CS9 mags to make carry easier.

Yes, the 3913 mag will insert, lock in and function. Without anything to act as a travel stop, I would not recommend slamming it home too forcefully. I don't know of anyone making a filler for such a swap, but if you are so inclined I see no reason why you could not make one from wood, rubber or plastic and glue it to the mag.

Just curious..

The CS9 holds 7+1...
The 3913 holds 8+1...

Do you need one more round bad enough to use a magazine not designed for the CS9?

Heck, if it's just capacity you're interested in get yourself a 6906.. The 6906 is just a double stack 3913 and you get a capacity of 12+1..

In fact the 6906 will accept the 5906 mags (15rd) and if you use the S&W "+2 grip extender" the mag will seat in the magwell perfectly, and look like it came from the factory that way. :)

And then, CDNN sells a 17 round FACTORY mag for the 5906 which I believe is of the same dimensions in length as the standard 15rd mag, so you can get 17+1 capacity...

We are rocking now!

And if I ever anticipate buying drugs in a bad neighborhood I'd welcome such a set-up.. But just for daily cc I should think the 7+1 standard capacity of the CS9 would suffice..

I have all four of the aforementioned 3rd gen Smiths, but my preference for daily cc in a 9mm pistol is the diminutive CS9.

Just rambling, no offense.

Best Wishes,

Jesse
