S&w m&p 45, mid-size

I am looking really hard at these. I had the opportuity to fondle the full size at a local store. Grip size is the same, but the mid size is a might shorter. Any experiences with them? If I pull the trigger on this, I can get a new one for $470.

a shooting buddy of mine comes to the range with a M&P45 compact. Its a nice gun IMO, but I dont think i would own one. I just dont like the smooth-ish grip that much and the sights seem almost too big. The recoil, however is pretty mild feeling to me which makes it nice.

$470 would be a very good price in my area. The M&P .45's feel good to me. I think it would be a good choice.

That sounds like a pretty good price. I have the compact and like it a lot. It shoots well and recoil is quite manageable. I use mine as my CCW sometimes. It works pretty well in that role, IMO.
