I love my two revolvers. The S&W M629 has served me well on countless bowling pin shooting matches and deer hunting since 1985, and my S&W M586 has stood by me since 1983. .44 Remington Magnum, and .357 S&W Magnum. Two great calibers! :D:D

If you only have two, those are great choices.

Now you need a K Frame in .38 Spl. or .22 LR. :)

You make me sad I sold my 629 earlier in the fall! It was about a 1985 manufacture based on the SN as I recall, the first handgun I bought when I turned 21 (it was used when I bought it and in my posession the last 7 years... :p )

Incidentally, I have a 4" 586 I picked up last winter that is circa 1983 based on the SN. It's a great shooting, nicely sized revolver. I'm thinking I might order a Milt Sparks BN55 or PMK for it soon. It's a bit big and heavy for regular carry on me (I'm 5' 8" and about 150, anything bigger than my cell phone on my belt looks like a tumor!) but it would be great tramping around in the woods at camp while fishing.

And I agree, every collection needs a .22LR K-frame. I also have a .357 K-frame and would gladly take a 4" pencil-barrel M-10 and M-15 to keep them company. (And an 4" N-frame .357 like the M-28 I passed on when I sold the 629. Got a new bicycle instead...)

Oh, pictures:

And Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Going to look at a 6" K frame .357 either this evening or tomorrow morning. Suspect it will compliment the 6" Model 17 in .22lr rather nicely.

Also they have a Model 25 in .45 Colt which probably shouldn't follow me home but might...

Enjoy your weekend and your shooting folks!

12 shots standing at 7 yards shooting over the chrono. Nah, you won't like it.

Walkalong, you were right. The 25 is following me home... Sadly the M19 had gone already...

Oh well, perhaps no ramen noodles for me this month!

The 25 is following me home...
We will, of course, want a range report soon. :)
Great shooting!
Thanks. You shoot enough targets, you'll get a gem here and there.

I shot this one over the chrono as well, but I let one leak out. 265 Gr SWC.
