S&W Model 34 Kit Gun D.O.B

I was at the gun store before Christmas and saw a nice Smith & Wesson Model 34 .22 Kit Gun. Its a flat latch, serial number 37xxx.
Does anybody know the approx.D.O.B ?
Its in excellent condition with original box.
Im thinking maybe late 1950's ?
The asking price is $525.00, (Western Ohio price..)
Any information would be helpful, thanks

Funny thing, but I have one myself, serial 37XXX.
So I don't even have to look it up!

Made about 1958.

$525 seems a little high to me, but I only paid $250 for mine in 2009.

Standard Catalog of S&W listed the excellent condition Pre-model 34 at $600 & the Model 34 at $325. Model numbers started in 1957, so you might be able to argue that one is worth more. Or you could try and argue the owner down a bit.
