I just picked up a Smith and Wesson model 52 and I need some help finding a holster for it. This model has been out of production for a number of years and holsters for this model are hard to find. I'll be using this pistol in bullseye matches requiring the use of a holster. So, if there are any shooters with the model 52, tell me what you are using. Thanks.

What type of match requires a holster?

Would a model 59 holster work?

Oops, meant a 39.

Thanks for the reponse, the Bladetech holster looks like a winner. I shoot with the Coastal Area Law Enforcement Combat Shooters league down here in the South Texas area. 50 rounds course of fire with shooting out the x-ring the name of the game, it's not the NRA standard course of fire, but it bullseye shooting, helps alot when the stress hits and you gotta remember front site..front site..and not spray and pray!

Model 52 magazines only hold 5 rounds. Won't that handicap you a bit?

Maybe everyone shoots a 52 and the course is set for that limit.

Belt Slide

I have been using a J.I.T. belt slide holster from Don HUME for my WALTHER P-99. I can also slide an H&K P2000 or some of the 200 series SIG pistols into the holster. I think you can use a model 39 holster for the model 52. They use the same frame, but the slide is longer. This is not a problem for belt slide holsters.

Good luck at the range,

Jim
