Hello out there! Anybody know if modern N frame grips will fit on my 1914 triple lock? Or perhaps has an old set they want to part with. My old friend was originally a .455, part of a run of 6,000 made for the British at the start of WW1 Shoots well but does look like it went to war. It now chambers for .45 colt.

Thanks, David

Modern N-Frame grips typically will not fit.
They are all made with a round butt frame now.

Your old Triple-Lock is a square butt frame.

There has been some special runs of square butt guns, but your chances of finding the grips for them are slim.
And new style grips on a Triple-Lock just wouldn't look right anyway.

There was a change post WWII. when
the double action was redesigned with a shorter trigger pull.

There have been in recent years and still are
blued N-frames with square Butts.
25-5 .45 Colt 57, 58, 27?29 and the
model 21 and 22s.

Wonder if S&W carries the wood grips
for the Model 22 Modelof 1917
