S&W PC 586 L-comp: new run coming

Wanted to share that Camfour has another run of the Performance Center 586 L-comp coming in about 6-8 weeks.

For those of you who like the 66 F-comp, the L-comp is all that and more: carbon steel, 7-shot moonclip, tritum front sight along with the 3" compensated barrel and trigger work.

I already have my order in with my dealer.

Any info on what the retail price is likely to be? Not the list price, but actual gunshop numbers.

I suppose it's going to have the stupid trigger lock on the frame, right?

Do you have a picture of an L-comp? I have totally convinced myself that I have everything justifiable short of the 12 GA tactical pump and M-1 CMP Garand. But some things are soooo tempting and this sounds like one of them.

Dave T: Of course it will! If it's a deal breaker for you then, hey, more for the rest of us!

Guy: It has a 3 in bbl 0.5 of which is a comp. Round butt. Matte blue. Very nice.

Guy, no pic. S&W used to have it on their website but took it down. On the PC page of the S&W site there is a 66 F-comp that is similar. Imagine the same barrel on a 586 and you pretty much have it. Eagle "boot" grips and a tritum front sight are also different than the F-comp. I don't know if the L-comp will have all of the same features of the first run, but it would be nice.

Regarding the stupid integral locks: I don't care for them either. They are a fact of life for gun sales in Maryland. I also think new production guns are generally higher quality and incorporate design improvements over older guns.
