s&w Victory 22

I've had a 22a for years and have shot lots of critters with it. I'll have a Victory in the future, although I saw a nice Ruger 22/45 the other day....

My opinion, and as such is nothing more than opinion, is that I wasn't impressed. Now, take that for what it's worth because in not a 22 for fun guy. I use 22s in bullseye competition and I only shoot them because I have too, they don't interest me much.

All that bring said, I found the trigger most unimpressive. Lots of creep and a rough break. The grips weren't very bad, and I soon see aftermarket options. Volquartsen is making barrels for it, that's a plus.

I think that when aftermarket grips hit the market and a company like volquartsen starts making trigger kits for it, it will make it a much better pistol. For now, it's probably just as good of a Plinker as a Ruger in stock form.

Also, I was told that 22a mags won't work in it. That kinda stinks.

I've had one for a couple weeks now and no complaints.
It's a nice shooter, heavy but balanced, and pretty accurate.
I haven't experienced the take down screw coming loose like some I've heard.
Seems to be a quality piece, well built and good looking.
