Sad realization

Right there with you Jeff. About ten years ago I decided the same thing. Scopes on just about all rifles. Simply couldn't pick up the irons any longer. Didn't want to scope my lever guns, but, I'm way past that now. I can see and hit my targets. Get the optics.

Got a peep sight. Made all the difference. A scope on a cowboy is, to me, like a beard on my wife.

Another forum im on has a smiley icon that is that is throwing up... Insert that here [ _ ]

Oh wait we have one here too! :barf::barf::barf::cuss::barf:

My hunting rifles and target pistols have scopes. Lever actions, no way. Only 1 of 6 ARs has a scope. I did recently get a red dot for one and one has an OEG, which works wonderfully at close ranges. Dot is too big for precision past 40-50 yards.

I just turned 34 so im sure in 20 years ill be fumbling around for a pair of glasses.

I'm not there yet. But I've found low power scopes look ok on lever guns.
Right now I'm in the I can still muddle by with peeps.
