I have a half dozen Siaga Pro-mag mags in 7.62x39. They jam when loading the last round. Somehow the round leaves the mag, but does not make it into the chamber, it floats around in the receiver and you have to shake it out before loading another mag and chambering a around. I assume this is either a problem with the follower or the spring is too loose.

I do not have any problems with my master molder or surefire mags.

Does anyone else have this problem? Or better yet has anyone discovered a work around, aside from installing a bullet guide and switching to standard Ak mags?

Oh, just a few (thousand) of us.

Stop buying the pieces of junk?

No, install the bullet guide and quit using the Pro-Mag junk, and get the mags the gun was designed for.

Actually getting 29 shots out of one before a jam is way better than average!

Korean AK mags are available from CDNN for $10 each, the useless Pro-Mags cost more, a few real AK mags and the bullet guide is paid for over buying the Pro-Mags and you will have a reliable gun.

I can't understand how they stay in business and continue to "expand" their line. None of the plastic Pro-Mags are worth a crap -- any gun any caliber, although they do react nicely when used as targets, but 2-liter pop bottles are a lot cheaper and you get some cold drinks thrown in :)

I do have a few metal Pro-Mags that work, but still more don't than do.

I made my own bullet guide form a stub of 3/4" black iron pipe....

my only challenge was breaking the #6 tap....

do yourself a favor and use a #8 tap, and grind down the flat head screw head if you need to.

Dinzag will sell you the BG, tap and drill bit for about the same money as a couple of those pro-mags...

put in a BG... you'll be happy you did...

+1 on the bullet guide, it's well worth it.

Stay away from the promags, install the guide and get some steel surpmags or some Circle 10 Polywaffles from K-Var, and like SSN Vet said, you'll be happy ya did.
