Make sure you check the rifling twist rate. I have a Sako in 6.5x55 and it will not stabilize the longer bullets like my Swede Mausers, Tikka or even my model 70 in the same caliber.

No I dont know about any issues with it not having enough twist rate. I have a Tikka in 260 (1-9 twist) and my fathers 6.5x55 (1-8 twist) and both have no problems with any brand and style (VLD's ect) of 140-160 grain bullets at all and they share the same barrels as Sako's. I have shot bullets as light as 95 grain and also not had a problem. I am in the process of paying off a Sako Stainless/Laminated Varmint in 260 and I wouldn't be buying it if they didn't shoot the heavy stuff.

Sorry can't help myself Mitchell Gard, is this what your looking for.

85 Sako Deluxe 6.5x55, unforunatly I'm in New zealand and can't help you with where, but I can tell you I didn't have to special order, just went to my dealer and he had one from the distributer in a couple of days.
Pictures are lousy but you'll get the idea.

I don't know about the Sako, but I had to order my T3 6.5x55, awsome rifle! I have always been a horse trader when it comes to rifles, but my I will never get rid of that Tikka.

I have also an 85 Finn in the same caliber and know of several guys who run the T3 in 6.5x55, I've never heard of an complaints about accuracy in either rifle in the Swede just seems to do the job.

Cove Creek in PA has better prices than anyone I found and they are easy to work with. Also a HUGE stock compared to almost anywhere else. Definately try there. The Deluxes are big$$$$ though. I prefer the satin blue of the regular Classic.
