SAKO Coltsman Grab

Just acquired a SAKO built Coltsman Deluxe (Custom) chambered in a .264 Win Mag with Leupold scope. It's about 95% condition or better. Never owned such a beautiful weapon. Anyone else here have one or know its value?

Those Colt branded rifles are very collectible. They have been going up steadily in value, though the market for rifles like that might have a low ceiling at the moment.

Thanks Dr.Rob. Not sure of the true value. I think I got a really good deal on it. She's all cleaned up and I have to stop pulling her out of the safe and looking at her. I'm sure the 'new ownership factor' will wear off before long. Since I am only a novice (at best), I believe it to be about 95% condition.

It has a very tiny nick on the barrel and the blueing is just like it came from the factory ... a very deep hi-lustre appearance. As for the furniture, there are no scratches which break the surface of the wood finish ... just very slight bump marks in a few places. Of the 3 boxes of original .264 win mag ammo, 6 rounds are still in the box. If boxes were 20 rounds, it means 54 rounds have been fired through it. The elderly gentleman I purchased it from still owes me those 6 original rounds. Could be 98% or better condition, considering the age. I'll have to have it graded by an expert. I bought it to re-sale, but, I don't believe I could ever let it go. Man-o-man, these things are niiiice and I'm hooked for life.
