I've got a SAKO .222 Rem., Rithimaki No9989 which was given to me by my Grandmother. Unfortunately her and my Father are no longer with us. I've contacted SAKO Finland more than once and have gotten no response. I'd just like to know some history of this rifle so I can tell my son when I pass it to him.

As luck would have it, the October issue of American Rifleman has a write-up on the history of Sako. You may wish to get your hands on a copy.
