Hi All, my older uncle wants to sell his Sako A IV Safari .338 to me. I am pretty good with the Pre-Garcia markings but I have no idea what all these "A" designations mean. Serial # 561,xxx. Can anyone please help with the meaning of A IV and an approximate date of birth? He fired it very little, has a Nikon 2x7 and he is looking for $1200. Thanks as always.
