The audio is not that bad, most of the radio comms are intelligible. But what do you see that suggests it is full auto?
The commentary saying it was full auto fire/automatic for one. They made several references to that. I know reporters seldom get it right but the police spokesman made the point several times that it was full auto fire. In the video it was a burp sound which is consistent with full auto fire and bad audio recording. Actual full auto fire doesnt sound like duh, duh, duh, duh. Sometimes its more like waaahhh especially when the microphone isnt up to fast fire recording. That and the multiple rounds in the neighbors houses those didnt come from a 2 second semi rampage..

I found other copies of the video with Google. I still say no way.

Cool. Believe what you want.

It's been confirmed to me by a In-Law relative in the sheriff's dept that I go camping and shooting with that it's not bad reporting.... this time.

While I'm not a fan of gun buy-backs, just as I support the right of others to own firearms, I support the right for them to dispose of their legally owned firearms anyway they want. Sammy probably accumulated several warehouses full of memorabilia before he passed. Not all of it survived this long, nor will it continue to survive for all of eternity. While I agree some fan would have loved to own the gun and would probably have paid many times what the buy-back program paid the owner, I suspect the owner felt strongly enough that they wished the gun destroyed, as to having the money, if in fact, they knew what they had.

FWIW: I used to go to a gun store in Las Vegas called "The Survival Store" which was in the south end of town (what was the south end back then) on Polaris Road. In one of their display cases, they had several handguns that were owned by Sammy Davis Junior.

This has been a long time ago, so this may not be fact, but I BELIEVE that the owner of the store had at one time been a bodyguard for VIPs and I BELIEVE that he told me that those guns were GIVEN to him by Sammy Davis Junior and they were good friends. He also had a variety of pictures showing him and Sammy as well as Sammy with various guns. According to him, Sammy was an avid shooter and (again) I believe he was fond of single action cowboy type guns.

The guns in the display case were not for sale, they were just being displayed.

This would have been in the late 1980s, very early 1990s when I was going there. I still have some trophies from some pistol matches shot on their indoor range, mostly bowling pin shoots. I also have a signed copy of a book written by Bo Gritz: they had a promotion/book signing event where you shot a 20 round magazine out of a Thompson SMG all in one long burst at a target and if your group was smaller than the one shot by Bo Gritz, you got the book free..............I paid for my book.

Sammy entered fast draw competitions. It's said that he could draw a Colt SAA in less than .25 seconds. I remember him demonstrating his skills on the Tonight Show w/Johnny Carson.
