Just noticed this yesterday. Box magazine, karsten cheekpiece, muzzle brake... 338 LM...
Looks like street price is ~$1000. Am i incorrect in thinking this could be the best deal on a long-range heavy-hitter right now? Seems like a good setup to get in and play with the big boys for a reasonable price.
In comparison, the Rem700P MLR is over $1400 (right?), and the Sav110BA is up around $2k right? Then there is the AR-30, also up around $2k IIRC.

This just seems like a really really good deal.

anybody shot/handled it yet?

I considered selling my Sako TRG42 to get the new Savage in 338LM, but I came to my senses. I'm sure the Savage will shoot...and if it doesn't shoot lights out...you can always buy a 300-400 pre fit barrel and it will be a hammer.

I would consider the Savage as the best bang for the buck to get into the 338LM...even though you are going to be dumping some serious coin for reloading components.

Oh i'm not looking to actually get one myself- i just wanted to know if i was the only one that knew about it. Haven't been able to find any writeups online or anything yet, was kinda surprised by it.
I still have a lot of practice to do with my 308, and need to find a longer range, before i work up to a 338LM.

I just bought new target line long range precision no one here knows anything about it, now I can't figure what ammo I should use in it and and no one can answer... Because only 260 ammo sold around me made by Remington which meant for hunting with no match bullets its not what target rifle should shoot...
