Savage .22 WMR

I am looking at the 93F or 93G to go with my Ruger Single Six. I like the Savage .22 and need the Magnum for maybe potting some bigger varmints. I got a .22 Mark II LV a few years ago, before the accu-trigger came out. After installing a Rifle Basix trigger, it is very nice. Anyone out there have one of the Magnum Savages? Those ones with the laminated thumbhole stock just look a little too fancy for me.

My friend has one...I haven't had a Savage that didn't shoot well. Savages offer great value in terms of cost/performance.

I am a big fan of the 22mag. I recently sold my EAA Biathlon Basic in 22mag because I like synthetic stocks for hunting, but the rifle was unique and a great shooting rifle.

I have a pre-AccuTrigger 93GL with a Rifle Basix sear. It shoots CCI Maxi Mags well. The furthest I've shot it at is 50 yards but they'll go into one hole at that range. The Maxi Mag +Vs with a lighter bullet do not group as well.

My rifle is scoped with a Nikon 4x32mm ProStaff rimfire scope.

I have been thinking of trying the Aguila Sniper 60 gr. ammo and seeing what that would do. Maybe a good hunting round. Also thinking of getting one of those Sharp Shooter stocks just for the heck of it:
