Greetings: Anyone out there....ever had firing problems with teh Savage 24VF type rifles? I have a 357 Maximum over 20gauge. I made up a box of 100 rounds to take up and fire to see how they settled in, and had 17 dryfires .
Confused, I returned home, got my winchester Mod 94 357 Maximum rifle ( I had it modified/made years ago) and I sent the same 17 previous misfires...sailing away. Definately have a firing problem with the Savage. Any suggestions out there? Any way to strenghten the firing pin tension...maybe beeibg a longer firing pin?
Would appreciate others situations and cures.
I have fired about twenty cases, not loaded with primers and all but one seemed to work well....until I loaded the real deal.
Thanks for any insight to a frustrated me.
