savage 6a semi-auto bolt problem

I'm just starting out as making gunsmithing a hobby, I have a savage 6a semiauto and the bolt sticks sometimes, i guess i shouldn't say sticks it locks in the closed position. I have to take the firing pin and everthing out to get it out. I had a feeding problem and replaced the lifter and lifter spring. I would appreciate any help Thanks.
