In case anyone is interested - no, you cannot take a blind magazine equipped staggered feed Savage receiver and use a center feed blind magazine on it. The receivers are machined differently on the bottom.
And now I know. <sigh> Time to swap barrels and such, because I can't just swap the box magazine.
