I really am tempted to get one of the Savage MKII, the only thing putting me off id the trigger, not that its an accutrigger, rather that I want to be able to lower the pull sub 1lbs (450g), I would accept 1 1/2lbs for target shooting, and then around 4lbs do hunting. But from what I can tell the accutrigger won't go below 2 1/2 lbs! I appreciate you can lower the pull further but I am not keen on cutting springs!

Is it right that both the CZ453 and 455 can be user adjusted to 12oz 300g?

Are there any ready available after market triggers for the MKII that go down to between 12oz and 20oz pull?

Does anyone have any other suggestions for sub $1000 dolar .22lr that are accurate and have trigger that can be user adjusted to a low pull?

I love the savage accu-trigger however I have a Marlin 981T 22lr and I installed a Basix trigger, pull is down to 1.5lbs, I use it for target shooting only.

Hi does anyone know if the rifle basix SAV-R is compatible with the stevens model 300?

The rifle basix SAV-RAT will lower a MKII with accutrigger to 1.25 lbs, but a SAV-R will lower a MKII without accutrigger to 4OZ, only problem is they don't sell them in Australia, hence my asking about stevens 300!
