So I finally got my Savage 10FP out to the range today. This rifle is awesome. Using my range bag as a impromptu rest and a wood shavings filled sock, I was actually able to get the rifle pretty steady. At a laser ranged 80 yards I was able to put six Hornady TAP 168grn rounds into a half inch group. One flyer opened the group up to just over an inch. Using Sourh African surplus .308, the groups opened up to a little over an inch. Not bad for a rifle for less than 500 dollars.
I also bought a used Glock 23 today. I was originally looking at a 19 but I saw the 23, which was in the same condition and had night sights, for the same price. Its pretty accurate for its size and recoil isnt to bad.
On a side note, my friend brought his fathers Berretta 92 Compact, which is a cool little pistol.
