OK, kind of a stupid question here, but I'm weighing (ha no pun intended), a few options. Does anyone know if the Savage model 10 Trophy Hunter XP rifle/scope package that's listed on the Savage website is the weight of the rifle, or the rifle and scope?

That should be both scope and rifle. Looking at their website they are showing 8-9 lbs depending on the individual rifle and the rifles weight alone should be around 7-7.75 lbs depending.
Just be aware that listed weights are often wrong, but based on past experience these seem about right. At one time Savage used aluminum and plastic for their bottom metal. A few years ago they switched to steel adding quite a bit to the weight of their guns. The weights listed on the website didn't reflect this for several years.
