Savage Rifle Packages

I recently was at the Savage website and was looking at rifles and rifle packages. What scopes do they include in the packages? Are they any good? Seem like the difference between the bare rifle and the packages are around $80 on a $600 rifle, seems awfully low.

That's because it's a $50 scope. You're better off not getting the package.

anytime you're buying a package rifle you're getting the cheapest optics and mounts known to man. I personally despise them. Jerkface $50 would be giving them too much credit

$50 would probably be the MSRP you can probably get it for $35

I actually have one of the savage packeages i recieved as a gift when i was in high school. and love it. .270 and a 3x9 simmons. true its not a high dollar optic but it does its job.

Just ordered a Savage 93FVSS. It was $60 cheaper than buying it as a package gun. It think they used a 3-9x40 Simmons. I'll be using a Weaver V16.

Get the standard gun. If you can afford it, try to get one with the new Accustock.

Buy good rings and a decent $300+ scope with hash marks in the reticle.
