The 99 take-down model was offered with a .410 barrel as an option at one time.

It was used as a single-shot, as .410 shells would not fit in the rotary magazine.

Here is a barrel only:

Here is a really really nice one listed at 4 grand!http://www.gunsinternational.com/Sa...gun_id=100058348&CFID=172686&CFTOKEN=85432684

The value of your gun is entirely dependent on condition, but I think the .410 barrel will add $300 - $500 dollars to the basic rifle.

Pull the lever down.
Stick a .410 shell in the chamber.
Pull the lever back up.
Aim & shoot.
Repeat as necessary.

That's pretty neat. I really want a Savage 99 in .250-3000 one day.

Before my Dad went overseas in WWII he purcshased a used Savage Model 99 in .250-3000 for $35.00.
He used the rifle for almost 40 years, taking an untold number of PA bucks.
The rifle still resides in my brothers gun cabinet .
Every now and then one of us will carry it deer hunting.
