LGS had ond for display and handling, but not for sale. Nice looking gun and it fit my hand well, but is somewhat larger than my PM9. IMO The major drawback, compared to the PM9, is weight. That said, it is not an apple to apple comparison since the Solo is an alloy/aluminum pistol and the Kahr is a polymer with SS slide. Since I prefer to pocket carry, the weight and size of the Solo make it best suited for IWB or belt carry, and there are many other options such as G26, G19, XDsc, Walther PPS, etc. Just my opinion after seeing the Solo for the first time.

I haven't yet seen a Solo in person but have read several articles and seen scores of pictures.

Personally I would like to see Kimber offer this in a full size, meaning a 4" inch barrel. I would also like to see them stipple the front/back strap to improve the grip. I also think they could thin the pistol out if instead of using a beef up aluminum/alloy frame they either use titanium to keep the weight down or live with the extra weight and go with stainless/steel. In addition, get rid of or offer a model without the ambidextrous safety and magazine release to help thin it out.

I currently carry a Kahr TP-9 and just love it. It's thin, light, has a molded checker front/back straps, but would preferred if it was single action instead of the DAO. If Kimber choose to make one like I describe, I wouldn't hesitate in buying it.

I just pray they make a .45acp version of the SOLO with the same size specs.
I own a Kahr MK9 now so the 9mm SOLO don't interest me as much as it would if i didnt already have a similar gun. But a small SOLO .45 would be perfect to make me bite.
