SBR Tavor, PS90, SIG MPX or Zenith z-5P...?

I would probably pick the Tavor as it is in 5.56. I already have a PS90 SBR and, while fun, it isn't a very impressive round and is expensive to boot. Either the MPX or Z-5P would allow (relatively) inexpensive shooting with the 9mm rounds, but I have been able to get 5.56 easily enough and still have some from back when it was cheaper. If you are looking at he MPX, don't forget the CZ Evo 3. I plan to pick one of those up soon.

Those all sound like kind of a waste of $200 to me but I guess I would go with the MPX. :)

Now a PPS43C in 9mm! THAT'S where it's at. :D

The standard 16.5" Tavor already has a shorter OAL than a 10.5 inch barrel SBR so why bother?

I'd do the Sig. The Tavor would be a waste. The PS90 is awesome, you can find rounds for it for a decent price, but it's much better in full auto.

The HK clone is cool too, but I think the Sig will be your best bet.

Highcaliber for the win!

I was seriously thinking about going the SBR route (AR15), but after weighing all the PROS / CONS, I got a 16.5" Tavor.

The money I saved on the time / hassle / tax stamp more than made up the difference in price, and I have the added bonus of not having to ask Big Brother for permission every time I cross the state line to shoot at a local club.

CZ Scorpion

Mine was 780 shipped. Reliable, proven and great suppressor host. With the KAK blade you dont even really need to SBR it. You can have it all outfitted for what the base MPX costs. Plus it looks sweet.

Another vote for the EVO3 ... I ran 100 rounds of Golden Saber hollow points through mine last week without a single malfunction which bring me to a total of 600 rounds through it ... Everything from 115 WWB up to and including 147 subsonics have run perfectly with ZERO MALFUNCTIONS!

I've gotten more satisfaction out of the box from the EVO3 than the last couple firearms I've bought ... The Tavor and Bushmaster ACR ... and because of reported problems with the SiG MPX I just didn't buy it, then they cut the price in it.

Not to dis SiG, but I've been their crash-test dummy enough times on new products that I'm going to wait on any new product they put out for at least a year ... If it's not teething problems (like the new MPX & MCX) it that cut the price to move them because they have a new model hitting the shelves.

The Tavor is already as short as an SBR'd AR, plus it just feels awkward to me as it has a 16" LOP where most firearms are 12"-13" ... Some people compare it to the AUG and says the AUG comes up short; I have both and everyone that I've let shoot both prefer the AUG. For the Tavor you'll need at least some sort of a riser for the sight rail ... There are 2-3 companies that make replacement sight rails that are elevated but you loose their nice factory BUIS sights going that route ... And the 12 pound trigger is horrible but you can remove the redundant spring to take it down to 8-9 pounds or just replace it with a 4.5 pound Giselle for about $350

PS90 is kind of cool but you have all the power of a 22mag in a much more expensive round and unless you use their brass pouch, they eject straight down ... Under your feet. Lastly, now that Stargate is off the air they've lost a lot of their cool factor and demand for them has really dropped off.

I laughed, I remember watching StarGate and thinking how cool they were. I owned one briefly and liked it but not enough for the price of the ammo.
