SC- Anti-gun Senator Defeated

Senator Maggie Glover of Florence was defeated by pro-gun Kent Williams in a special run-off election yesterday. Williams was endorsed by NRA and helped by volunteers from Gun Owners of South Carolina.

Kent Williams is the brother of nationally known conservative columnist Armstrong Williams. Both Kent and his brother are well aware of the fact that NRA and GOSC helped win this election. We can surely count on Kent's help in the coming years.

This is GREAT news for gun owners since Glover has often been our biggest obstacle. In fact, she has tied up every bill that NRA and GOSC has pushed in recent years. Having her out of the way will make things much easier for pro-gun legislative action.

Great news from SC; now those of us in Georgia are counting down the days and weeks when the anti-gun Denise Majette will be defeated by pro-gun Johnny Isaakson for Zell Miller's seat in the Senate. I hope these victories portend good things for gun owners in America.
