The NRA/GOSC recognition bill (H.3110) passed second reading without objection today in the SC House. In addition the House granted unanimous consent to an automatic third reading tomorrow. This means the measure will move to the SC Senate next week.

A big thanks to Rep. Mike Pitts who worked tirelessly for passage of this important bill. Mike, an NRA Life Member, was the primary House sponsor. He made this bill a priority and deserves credit for its passage.

Also, thanks to the many individual gun owners who personally contacted their House members. As a result of their contact we managed to secure over 50 co-sponsors for our bill. We are hoping for a similar showing in the Senate and we urge all interested SC gun owners to contact their Senator.

BB, look at § 1 (N). Would give recognition to all other states CCWs (CPL, LTCH, LCH, inter alia) if they honor SC. If state requires an agreement (like Tejas) modifications would mandate SC state po-po make it happen. Cuts out some of the discretionary red tape of the current statute.

Not true universal recognition, like Indiana, but a positive step. Good to see Fabian tactics working for us. :)
