Not sure if this has been posted, but this is absolutely bone chilling. My state doesn't require notifying LEOs, but I would certainly do it just as a courtesy and a measure of trust to the LEO.
The fact that the man can't get a word in edgewise and is threatened repeatedly is just unimaginable, I've heard of things like this, but was never witness to them.
THIS IS NOT A THREAD TO BASH LEOS, JUDGING A GROUP BY THE ACTIONS OF ONE IS WRONG AND IGNORANT.

This rogue cop needs to serve many years in prison for all the crimes he committed in this video. Last I checked violently harassing and threatening to murder someone was illegal. Also, why justification did they have to do a search? Also, they told the person not to talk or they threatened to harm him. So, how could he inform them of having a gun, if they demanded he not speak or face bodily harm? This is the type of video that makes every gun owner cringe and every respectful American citizen should be aware that a police officer like this a disgrace to our country. This guy is as bad as any gang banger or thug and the fact he has legal power to terrorize people and threatened our freedoms

I think they should setup a fund to prosecute this officer for the crimes he committed. Having a badge shouldn't make you exempt from criminal charges. If a civilian went up to an officer and said he should have put 10 rounds in him and wouldn't of loss sleep, would that not be a crime? The man clearly was entrapped to the extreme and his life was threatened by the officer, despite the fact he was complying and doing all he could to follow orders and be respectful.

Regardless of what the law actually says, the police should have a certain level of respect when dealing with the public. This officer's actions, even before the issue of the gun/permit came out, gives all cops black eye. There's no excuse to engage the public with such arrogance and bravado. While the central issue may be the "duty to inform" it goes deeper than that. It comes down to basic respect, and badge or not, it has to be given to be received. This cop is hopefully an extreme example of everything an officer shouldn't be. Even when making a valid arrest....not a bogus one like in the video....theres no need to lecture, mock, threaten, belittle, demean, or otherwise disrespect the subject. I hope this poor excuse for an officer never experiences life behind the badge again, as its obvious he cannot handle the responsibility of representing his community is a positive manner
