Hello All,

I've been looking for a Ruger PC9GR to go with my KP89. I went down to the Scheels All Sports, the local sporting goods store. They didn't have one in stock so I asked them if they could put one on order for me. The salesman goes back to check the computer and comes back with some bad news. The system had a note telling him not to order or sell this particular model. I've noticed before that they don't carry any AR-15s or other EBRs. But this struck us both as odd since they sell Mini-14s and 10/22s, which the PC9 bears a resemblance to. Heck they even have 30 round mags for both the Mini-14 and 10/22. The salesman and the manager both had no idea why the chain's no EBR policy included the PC9. Has anyone else ran into this problem?

This is the same organic fertilizer I went through with Scheels about a year ago trying to buy a Saiga. There was a thread on it that got moved to "transactions" forum, and included some emails to/from their national gun manager.

The Bottom Line is don't have anything to do with them - they are a bunch of fascist anti-gun snobs.

I was involved in a secret shopper program in the Scheel's store chain. They are pretty famous for their shabby treatment of female customers, and they were studied closely and results collected from a variety of women sent in to see if they could get waited on.

They couldn't.

Some of these ladies...well, price is no object and some like to buy two of everything so their hubby will have one.

Strato;

Don't know which Scheel's you tried to patronize, but if it was the one in Great Falls Montana, I have good news for you. Go over to Big Bear, I saw a Saiga on their consignment rack.

I haven't bought a gun from Scheel's yet. Not because of any social attitude on their part whether related to EBR's, or sex, or anything else. Nope, didn't know about that stuff till I read the above comments. But, their prices for firearms are universally higher than about any other place I can choose to buy. I have not yet found any sales point that's higher than they are. And since I don't own any stock in the company, I see no reason to purchase there.

Odd that Ruger would fall victim to the anti EBR antitude that they helped to foster.
Poetic justice perhaps

Ruger Sales

Just an opinion that this store may know a little about history and who said "No honest man needs a gun like that" and who wrote the basic text of the AWB. as you mentioned they have plenty of previously banned items.
