I have a Browning Safari 7mm mag that I bought new in the late '60's that has never been fired. I just put it up knowing that one day I would dress it up to shoot. I also have a Redfield 3x9x40 that I want to mount but am unsure about the best base to use for this rifle. This scope has sentimental value since I used one on a Rem 700 in Vietnam when my battalion first received them in April 1967. I love the 700 but this old Belgium Safari bolt is like holding a piece of art. Any recommendations?
