My dad bought a red-dot for his S&W 357 and learned that mounting it is ornerous. He said he basically has to destroy the screw in the rear sites and tap an additional hole before he can mount the scope.
Two questions for the group:
1. Was the advice he got accurate?
2. Would the same situation apply for a Taurus 44-mag revolver? (he offered me a family discount on the scope
