Just got a cz 453 and want to put a mueller eraticator scope on it. Any suggestions on ring sizes? Thanks

You will need to know what model it is. CZ uses two different grove dimensions one is Euro 11mm the other is American 3/8th. Some scope rings will fit both. Some sell adapters to go weaver rail instead of grove. Then the options open up a bunch but it adds to the height and can come loose.
For a 40mm scope with no adjustable objective, grove mount, med height should do. :)

I am not sure if this is true on their rimfires, but their centerfires can be a real pain, with the bolt handle hitting the rear bell of most scopes. So unless someone comes along and tells us this is not true of the rimfires, get the highest darn mounts/ rings you can get, and if cz makes a some they recommend for this rig, then ask them, and get those. I used factory cz high mounts for my carbines, they are excellent , made from stock bar steel, all cut from the same bar. Super tough, and super rugged.

I put the medium height Burris Signature rimfire rings on my CZ, and they are perfect for a 40mm objective. I tried the Warne 7.3 22 rings, and they did not fit very well. I sent them back to Brownells and bought the Burris rings. Burris makes the rings in a high model if you have a larger objective.

C-Z actually uses 3 differant size dovetails.
They are in the process of correcting this issue but some still have a 13mm groove too. You can call their cust serv number and by giving them your model and serial number they can tell you which size groove your rifle's reciever has along with sugestions on what rings should work for you.

Hope this helps.

My 453 came with the smaller dovetail rimfire mount, so what I did was, believe it or not, put a "rail adapter" (2 of them actually) that converts rimfire to weaver sized, then used nice Warne rings. It shoots quite nicely.

Thanks for all the input. I really appreciate it. It is the American version.
