Scope Recommendations for M82A1

Been asked to outfit a M82A1 in .50BMG for a friend with the BORS system. Looked at the scope that Barrett sells with the BORS and was just wondering if there are any other Leupold scopes that I should take a look at? Or other brands would be fine too. Just looking for some recommendations. Luckily budget is not really an issue. Thanks in advance!

Luckily budget is not really an issue.

Take a look at Schmidt and Bender. I like Leupold but S&B is just better. They are just more rugged and built like a tank. I have used a Mark 4 ERT and while it is a great scope, the S&B really is better.

Not sure hot the BORS works really (I think it is limited in compatibility, but i heard they had recently adapted them to work with nightforce scopes. Those are certainly worth a look.

No issue on budget? NICE. That will make it much easier. Id skip the leupold. Check out premier/hensoldt, SB, or Us optics or Nightforce.

I'm not 100%, but I think the usarmy mounts Swarovski optics on the 50's.

With budget being a non-issue i'd probably try a Hensoldt, but honestly I think you could do a great deal worse than a Premier Reticles Heritage for a fraction of the cost.

Barrett has a specific list of compatible scopes, and even then, those scopes have to be set up a certain way.

That was easy!! As an owner of two of the Leupold scopes listed (and two Premier Reticles Heritage) you won't get any objection from me since budget isn't a concern.
