There are some options out there for securing your optic to the top of a Tikka T3X , and here is one setup that worked really well for me. This is T3X in 270 Win. 22.4" Barrel, 1:10 twist. Scope is a VX2 1" tube, 40mm objective.
Bases ended up being the Leupold PRW/QRW 2 piece steel set. Pretty nice, lightweight bases. Rings are Warne Maxima 1" Lows. Eye relief came out perfect, and the overall setup is very solid and not heavy. It also is well clear of the ejection port for full access. Feel free to post your tikka rifle setup with what gear you stuck on it.

Some other mounts I bought but did not use (but which are also very nice)
1. Leupold Backcountry aluminum rail. https://www.leupold.com/backcountry-cross-slot-tikka-t3-t3x-1-pc-matte
and Leupold Backcountry Low rings. https://www.leupold.com/backcountry-cross-slot-1-low-rings-matte
2. Warne Mountaintech aluminum rail and Warne Mountaintech low Rings. https://warnescopemounts.com/7200m-warne-mountain-tech-1-inch-low-matte-rings/
3. Leupold Backcountry unified base-ring aluminum mounts. Similar to the Talley lightweight mou t.

Notes:
1. The Warne aluminum rail is lower profile than the Leupold aluminum rail. This has pluses and minuses.
2. The Leupold Backcountry unified base-ring mounts place the scope a little farther forward than my setup.

I really wanted to use 7075 T6 aluminum mounts made in USA. But the steel bases were pretty low profile, light, super strong and provided a lot of access to the ejection port.

I used a DNZ Game Reaper mount. It's not pretty, but it's simple and easy. Perfect for a lazy guy like me.

How is the A7 different from the 75?

It’s a heck of a lot cheaper and closer to a Tikka than an actual Sako. I swapped out the plastic trigger guard and bolt shroud for aluminum on mine. Stock is high quality B&C which is why I opted for the A7 over a Tikka.

View attachment 1108094 I like it. My Sako A7 (I believe the same base platform as a Tikka) has extended Tally one piece low rings to allow for enough space to allow for good eye relief on my VX2 3-9X40. Low, light, and has proven very secure.
I also used the low one piece Talley rings. Was a very close fit for my VX3 4.5-10 40mm but it worked. Anything larger than a 40mm and you'd probably want to go with medium.

I have DNZ one peice base and rings in my Tikka. They are pretty low so if I get a bigger scope, I will need a new setup.

I'm having a similar dilemma. Just bought a Tikka T3X Super Varmint .223, but it has a rail already attached. I'll have Warne 514M 30mm rings, but haven't decided for sure on the scope. But, I have those rings on another rifle and they are as solid as you can ask for....they work perfectly.
