Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place. I just bought a Cugir WASR-10 and unfortunately due to how hard they are to find I had to order it online. When I went to do my background check at my local FFL I noticed it had quite a bit of scratches on the gun. I called the store that I bought the gun from and they said it was from Romania and that was completely normal to have those kind of marks on the gun. They also told me the gun was new and they didn't even have it on the show floor. I'm just wondering if I'm getting the "run around" or this truly is normal. Please see attached pictures and thank you for your time and input. (I had other photos of other scratches but it didn't show up in the pictures)

Welcome to THR, Xividium! :)

Yeah, that looks unremarkable to me. ComBloc AKs (and the like, even when made for the commercial rather than the military market) tend to be relatively rough compared to what most of us are used to.

Enjoy!

Thank you for the welcome and the reply that's so nice of you thank you.

Looks like normal marks. The finish on those mark up pretty easily. You'll have drag marks from the safety immediately once you start using it. If your happy price wise then I keep it. OH and another Welcome!

Thank you so much for the welcome and the reply I really appreciate it guys makes me feel much better.

You could try blending those with some Birchwood-Casey paste blue, then some #0000 steel wool soaked in light gun oil. But I agree with the posts above, an AK has got to have a few dings to be worthy of being an AK.

Thanks everybody so much for your help and replies I really appreciate it

Welcome!
When you get a chance to shoot i, feel free to take some pictures and let us know how it shoots for you .

Stay safe.

It's an AK. You'll goober it up eventually. And when you do, you'll feel less shame and more pride that it has signs of fair use.
