screw on compensator

Anyone ever use one of these and how much difference does it make?

They're like the old Cutts Compensators and Poly Chokes (I guess). Except that they take choke tubes instead of twisting the end to your desired choke.
I don't think that they ever did much for velocity, recoil, etc...except that they were the precursors to the choke tubes we have today.

I haven't used one, and doubt i ever will. As far as I can tell shotguns lack the velocity to make this sort of thing work very well- the gas just isn't moving fast enough and the barrels and attachments aren't thick enough to allow much of a 'jet effect' to take place. One thing I'd be willing to bet, if you put one of those on your muzzle you'd not be bothered by anyone crowding you after the first time you shot it- the muzzle blast would back 'em right off.

Cutts on a Shotgun used in Skeet are great for keeping the rest of the squad away from you...

Has a sharp sound ...especially resonating off High/ Low House.

And that is why boys and girls one uses one sometimes in Skeet, especially doubles...it really gets on the nerves of opponents and breaks their mental game down.

I keep telling you folks Brister and Misseldine were correct. 10% is physical , 90% is mental in regard to shooting.

Not that 'I' know anything about goofing up someone else's 90% or nothing...
