The corncob will make them even more shiny than the walnut:)
Man, I don't know if I can stand them any brighter but I'll swap out the media to corn and give it the same test  not that I don't believe you gents. :) I'm thinking I should use the cases that I just cleaned yesterday with the walnut media.

Have you had a chance do do any testing lately with the WSF?
Hopefully it works out well for you.

PS: Shiny brass may not shoot better but it makes me :)

The shiny brass is becoming addictive.....

Have a delay as I’m regrouping on my press setup by moving my bullet seater die to my long stored RCBS Rock Chucker press. Was having trouble with the seater die OAL setting varying to much between each bullet seat in my turret press to satisfy me. The Rock Chucker setup is a big improvement with its rock solid mount. So, hopefully I’ll be back at it soon, if I can keep the domestics at bay......lol

All right on the shiny brass.:thumbup::thumbup: Now to start looking for a bulk supplier of corn media. :)

After first pass to clean with walnut media:

After second pass to polish with corn media:

Now have some brass underway in the corn that was in a duller condition than the first test above.

P.S. Just in case some are curious the following case was decapped and the primer pocket cleaned with the steel pocket cleaner before the walnut pass. The photo was shot after the corn media pass.

If the brass is "grungy" the walnut will clean it up better, corncob shines better.
I found sometimes 2 passes was the way to go when I dry tumbled.

And yes shiny brass can be addictive.;)

Wet tumbling with pins gives you spotless pockets with out the brush.
(but is not as shiny as the corn cob with polish) Still pretty shiny.
You could always do the corn cob after..
However I don't think wet tumbling would work to good outside if the water needs antifreeze:)

Amazon is probably the best place to order corn cob media because Prime customers get free shipping. And let's face it, the shipping costs on a bulky 40 lb bag is going to be nearly the price of the media.

Amazon Corn Cob Media

Amazon All Tumbling Media

The only way to better those prices is if you live near a Grainger outlet. But they most likely won't have the media in stock, so you'll need to order it online for in-store pickup.

I buy stuff on Amazon (Not a prime member, although the wife is), so I don't know why I haven't thought to check prices there.

Yep, they ship free to the store if you pick it up there, which I did.
