The Second Amendment Does Not Give Individuals The Right To Keep And Bear Arms!!!
These polls irritate me in that they lead people to believe that the 2nd Amendment is what gives us the right to keep and bear arms.
Following that logic, if they can lead the sheep to believe that the RKBA is granted to us by the 2nd Amendment, while at the same time leading them to believe that guns are evil, then ridding the U.S. of guns should be as simple as repealing the Second Amendment, right? What a way to garner public support for a new Constitutional Amendment; First convince the people that the government holds title to the Bill of rights, then convince them that one of them needs repealed for the public good.
THE SECOND AMENDMENT DOES NOT GIVE INDIVIDUALS THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS!!! That right is given to us by our Creator, as self protection and preservation are inherent rights of humans. The right itself has been there since the dawn of time; it was not kindly bestowed upon us by our wonderful and benevolent government. The intent of the Bill of Rights was to put government on notice that the those rights are the absolutes, the ones that are not to be f***ed with under any circumstances.
