DATELINE: LAKEWAY, Texas, March 10

BODY:
The Second Amendment Sisters (SAS) Michigan Chapter today announced the 2003 Shop 'n Shoot(sm) weekend, to be held April 26-27.

Competitive shooting events will start at 9:30am on Saturday, April 26, with instructional shooting on Sunday, April 27, at the Frankenmuth Conservation Club in Frankenmuth, Mich. When attendees are not shooting, they will have the opportunity to shop either the quaint stores of Frankenmuth or the outlet stores at Birch Run.

The annual dinner/meeting will be held in Frankenmuth at BeeBee Pedaler's on Saturday, April 26, with dinner at 6pm and the meeting starting at 6:45pm. Scheduled speakers include Rep. Sue Tabor, Rep. And Senator Alan Cropsey, father of Michigan's CCW law.

"The purpose of the meeting is to bring our members together to interact and share our concerns. We have opened both the meeting and shoots up to the public with the intention to educate and share ideas. We will have NRA Certified instructors at the instructional shoot for one-on-one training," said Pat Alzady, the Michigan spokesperson.

"Women deserve to have every option available to them when it comes to protecting themselves from violence. We believe that firearm safety, education and training are the keys to that protection and we are very excited about our plans for this year's Shop 'n Shoot(sm) weekend," said Carol Hoffman, the Michigan State Coordinator.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to contact SAS before the March 15, 2003 deadline, as space is limited. For more information on the times and cost, call 877-673-1850 or visit the web site, http://www.2asisters.net/mi/
