Seeking wisdom scope mounts

Is there a way to mount a scope on my Mauser so I can still see the iron sights? I could have swore there was a way to drill and mount a scope off of the left side of the action. I have only found the mosin style WWII mounts but that dosent center the scope over the bore. Any help would be appreciated. Please no comments about ruining old rifles.
