I am deeply concerned about the rhetoric in the liberal media these days regarding the US motivation to go to war with Iraq. As an OIF veteran, it is even more troublesome to me. I was there when we liberated Iraq, I saw the mass graves, the schools filled with ammunition, the poverty of the people in contrast to the excesses of the regime. I also saw the exuberant delight and joy of a people who were freed from decades of terror and tyranny.
Somehow, certain leaders have "forgotten" how much of a threat that the Iraqi regime was. They now tend to lean on the premise that President Bush conjured up the Iraqi threat and that he lied to the public. The list of quotes below should shed some light on the "selective forgetfulness" that these people are now displaying.
