Senator Joe Manchin ia the canary in the coaline for Democrats and their gun control goals? The people of West Virginia need to try and bring him back to our side. Those of us outside of West Virginia need to let the Senator know we are willing to support a candidate that supports the Second Amendment.

Its time folks to quit talking and get into this fight with our time and money in a big way.

He really caved fast. He wrote a big article in the Washington Post about how he has a five shot bolt action for deer hunting and doesn't think anyone should have a bigger magazine or a semi-auto rifle. So mugh for his campaign BS about being a friend of the Second Amendment.

What a sucker! I almost pity the poor sap! His rifle (re-labeled a "high power, military style sniper rifle" will be next. Even if there is not a mass killiing with a bolt action (by conicidence, of course), we will be told over and over about the JFK assassination.

Keep up the communications. Let him know you will support him if he will defend your Rights or you will work passionately to unseat him during his next reelection. I always mention that I'm a registered voter as well.

I am definitely contributing to Senator Manchin's opponent in the next election. I'll back his primary opponent too if that guy is better on RKBA.

Don't know WV laws but I would suggest the formation of a search committee to replace him. Call a press conference. Make sure you have a large number of people with you when you talk to the press. Numbers mean everything just like money.
Best answer I've seen, lately. These politicians are living high on the hog and need taken down a notch or two. Probably won't work, but would send a MESSAGE. Have fun!!

I have sent 2 letters his way, got one response basically saying he supported having conversation with both sides of the table.

I quote the letter" My words in recent days have not been an endorsement of an assault weapons ban but an endorsement of a constructive and open discussion on all possible causes of the unacceptable rise in mass shootings across the United States. In moving forward, everyone needs to be involved in this discussion, including my friends at the NRA, mental health experts, elected officials on both sides of the aisle, and the entertainment industry that daily glorifies unspeakable violence."

My last letter I sent asked what kind of gun measures he did or did not support then and reiterated that I did not support any further regulations or laws.

Apparently his office is reporting to the press he is working with the NRA on passing universal background checks. The NRA has strongly opposed universal background checks and is NOT working with manchin according to them. I think manchin and his cronies are lying to gain the support of the uninformed.
