Well, it's not a revolver; but is a 4 shot. Just got it back from my gripmaker after he put a set of American Holly grips on it. Gave him my short barreled 1860 Armies to put holly on next. Will post pictures when I get them back - he says about 2 weeks.

BTW, for those interested, there is a Uberti Sharp's replica on GB right now. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=424414512

If that is a real Sharps, then it must be something somebody rechambered, as the 22 longrifle cartridge didn't come about until several years after production at the Sharps company ceased.

It's not a real Sharp's either. It was made in Japan by Miroku in the 60s at the same time Uberti was making them.

Very cool ive wanted one since i saw Tremors 4 that and a punt gun

I made up a new mainspring for one belonging to a local collector. IIRC it was only chambered for shorts. So I go along with the idea that it's either something special or was modified later on.

How long did Sharps make these for? Could it be a later original from when there were Longs and Long rifle available?

I got to try a few "cylinders" thru it after we got it working. A fun little toy and a highly interesting operating mode. It was reasonably accurate too despite the rather "crusty" looking bores.
